1-Day North Shore Water & Mountains

Join us for an unforgettable day filled with paddling, wildlife, and forest trails. Learn the basics of sea kayaking in Deep Cove’s calm waters while taking in panoramic views and spotting seals and eagles. After some free time for a delicious local snack, venture to Lynn Canyon for a guided walk across the breathtaking suspension bridge and into the heart of the coastal forest. Whether you’re new to kayaking or simply love exploring nature, this tour offers something special for everyone.

Sample Itinerary:

• 7:30 am – Check in with your DCSA guide at Richmond Secondary School
• 7:45 am – Travel to Deep Cove on the North Shore of Vancouver, a beautiful waterside community known for Honey’s Donuts – arguably the best Honey Dip donut on the West Coast!
• 9:00 am – Arrive in Deep Cove and check in for your kayaking adventure! Learn about the local history and enjoy the scenic views, with chances to spot seals, eagles, and starfish
• After kayaking, enjoy free time for lunch and a short hike to the top of Quarry Rock
• 3:30 pm – Depart Deep Cove
• ~4:30 pm – Arrive back at Richmond Secondary School

Note:

We recommend wearing quick-dry athletic wear, old running shoes or water shoes, and a jacket that fits under a lifejacket to keep warm on the water. On sunny days, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are a must! Don’t forget to bring a towel and a change of clothes.
