Day 1: Richmond to Ucluelet
7:45 am – Students arrive at Richmond Secondary School and check in with the DCSA guide.
8:00 am – Depart for Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo.
Visit Coombs – A camera is a must on a trip to Coombs, as visitors might get a picture of the goats on the roof.
Trail walk around Little Qualicum Falls – straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting.
Check into Canadian Princess Lodge in Ucluelet.
Enjoy a group dinner (included).
Bonfire and marshmallow roast at the beach near your hotel (weather permitting).
Day 2: Tofino/Ucluelet
Breakfast included.
Travel to the town of Tofino this morning.
Time to take part in a whale watching tour or beginner surf lesson (additional cost). *Activity timing may vary.
Free time for lunch and to explore the town of Tofino.
Later this afternoon join your guide for an easy rainforest walk to Tonquin Beach.
Visit another of Tofino’s stunning beaches on your way back to your accommodation.
Free time for dinner (at own expense) near your hotel.
Enjoy another beach evening with games & a campfire (weather permitting).
Day 3: Ucluelet to Richmond
Bagged breakfast included.
Hike the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet.
Depart for Nanaimo with a lunch stop along the way.
Ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay.
Return to Richmond at approximately 7:30 pm.
We recommend bringing $20 for lunches and $25 for dinners that are not included in the cost.
